I was gonna make a whole journal about this, redubbing their lines. And then I said... naw, I'll actually redraw it, to capture the expressions I wanted with the new lines.

So yeah, this is what Sai would have said if he were more forward with his lines. Does anyone else sense a hint of homosexuality?

Even still... Sai seemed really OOC this latest chapter. I guess he's learning what jealousy is : P

I'm glad I got some practice with Sai's face though. I don't practice him nearly enough for how much I adore his character.

EDIT: The more I think about it, the more I think the flashback of Kakashi's conversation with Sai was a little unnecessary unless it was to establish Sai's feelings for Naruto, and Kakashi knows about them. What scares me though, is that if Sai is beginning to feel this conflicted about Naruto, I get the really horrible feeling that he's going to die. You can't have two love triangles happening at once, and you all know that Sai is going to be forced to make a decision between protecting Naruto, or going along with Root. Danzou already has Root members monitoring Sai. If he makes a wrong move, I think he's going to end up dying. It also would make his argument to Naruto ironic, about a friend being worth the pain or not. Kakashi told Sai that he does understand why Naruto is willing to bear the pain that Sasuke gives him. And I just think that Sai is going to end up saving Naruto's life or something in the future, at the sacrifice of himself, because Naruto would have been worth it to him. And it'd make it especially sad because like, most of Shippuden deals with Sai learning to develop his feelings, but we know that at this rate, the feelings might become too strong for the manga to remain shounen, and Naruto obviously is (*cough* gayforSasuke) heterosexual.

Gah, I worry so much now : ( I hope Sai is around until the end of the series : ( I honestly like him more than even Sasuke nowadays.
