HAPPY BIRTHDAY NEKONI!!!!

It's her 20th birthday today (starting midnight Western European time [GMT+1], this piece was uploaded to be right on the hour).

Worked a long time on this baby. Poured a lot of TLC into it! This piece is actually collaboration between myself and :icongoheh: (~goheh). We got together in St. Louis two weeks ago and made special sketch just for Nekoni's birthday. When I asked Nekoni what she'd like for her birthday, she requested a Kakashi Gaiden pic, then mentioned how much she'd love if I drew Yondaime (Minato, but we all didn't know his name at the time)... so ~goheh and I sat down on her bed with a sheet of paper between our laps, and she drew the left side (Obito and half of Kakashi) and I drew the right side (Minato and half of Kakashi).

I developed a new shading style when working on this piece, which really is a pleasure to use. I think I will be using it more often. I've already started to apply it to all my other works. Read the tutorial/making-of to see what I did.

Ok, ok, first- ok- LOL!!! I never tired of Kakashi's face jokes... but it's so great to see one with his original team! T_T WONDERFUL!!! It's a big pile of my favourite characters!!!

bito looks cute, aw he's freakin' out and blushing- kekeke! What's he thinking!

kakashi looks wonderfuly lazy... and partially mesmerized by the flames! Cuuute...

And.... ahem. Minato looks awful.. bah how I hate him.

ONTO COLORING!!! Beautiful- man I can see why you were counting down to my birthday to post this- that coloring is beautiful! I especially like their hair, and the light on their faces- beautifully done. The candles too look well waxxy!
