Whether I'm with you, or without you, you'll always be there.
I view Gohan as a father figure to Goten. He's the closest to a father that Goten had for most of his life. If Goten ever needed someone or something, I'm pretty confident that Gohan would do anything for him, including comfort him if he were ever down. However, after Goten heard that Gohan died, during the Buu Saga, and then watched his mother die, right before his eyes, his world came crashing down, and nobody was there to console him. I think his inner strength, though, came from Gohan. Even without Gohan there, Goten still used him as support, as one might use the idea of a hero or a martyr. I believe Goten's createst comfort is with his brother. He has his own playful ways of showing it... but I'm sure he's also just run up and hugged Gohan for no reason other than to smile and tell him "I love you, Gohan". He strikes me as a child that would do that, probably all his life. This piece is for my "Seeking Solace" submission to my 100 Themes Challenge. Done in 1 1/2 hours in Paint Chat (dont ask me how it took me that long for this simple piece... I was chatting on IMs too, so distraction played a huge part as well lol) To see the original sketch for this, click here: [link] |

woman came out of a man's rib. Not from his feet to be walked on. Not from his head to be superior, but from the side to be equal. Under the arm to be protected, and next to the heart to be loved
